HOST YOUR OWN CALLING ALL ANGELS PARTY!

They say the movement of an Angel’s wings creates tiny changes in the social atmosphere that ultimately causes large scale awareness.

We know this to be true because in the past four years Calling All Angels has raised over $85,000 in funds dedicated to raising awareness of ovarian cancer.

This may sound like a small amount compared to some of MOCA’s fundraisers but it is an amount that has made an impact in our efforts to raise the profile of this disease. The money from these events has funded ads in newspapers and magazines, helped produce the MOCA DVD, and this year will help fund a statewide media awareness campaign.

We want you, our Angels, to host your own Calling All Angels party – a tea, a happy hour, a brunch, a dinner, a golf outing, a card game, a casino night, an art show, whatever you like – to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. Anyone can be a host, even men! Think creatively and plan a fun way for you and your friends and family to get together to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. Last year we had a number of wonderful parties that ranged from a beautiful dinner party that raised over $3,000 to a college keg party hosted by a young survivor, that raised $1,500. The chain effect was momentous!

MOCA will help organize your event and provide invitations, teal pins, symptom card and a speaker if you like! Just let us know what your plans are and what you need, we’ll be happy to help. And if having a party isn’t your cup of tea, we invite you to go to make a donation instead!

Please join me and MOCA and host a party the week of April 20-26. Let’s have a great time, raise the profile of MOCA and create awareness across the state! The small moments in life sometimes have the greatest effects and move the world forward.
