The women of MOCA
Description of square.
Modified from a pattern in The Birthstone Sampler
What would you like to tell us about the woman being honored?
I am inspired by the women who are the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
Each, in their own way, the women of MOCA are perfect gems. They have faced ovarian cancer with personal dignity, with hope, and with determination. Individually, they continue daily living in ways that are meaningful to family, friends and community. They are compassionate and empathic in sharing with other women having the same diagnosis. They motivate others to continue to look for solutions. They give impetus to research efforts toward finding causes and cures, and demand that this research continues to go forward.
As members of MOCA, they are unceasing in bringing attention to the importance of each person with this diagnosis and of the need to find ways to discover ovarian cancer earlier. MOCA is the focal point for resolve, for hope, for education, for support. Each member is a jewel, with facets and depths that join with the other members to provide a beautiful banner that shines forth to motivate and lead all of us! -RT
