What would you like to tell us about the woman being honored?
Dorothy was an avid sportswoman, long before it was “fashionable” for women to be involved in sports. Her favorite game was softball – and was often found at shortstop or 2nd base on a warm Minnesota summers’ eve. She participated in 24 straight softball tournaments and was much loved and respected by the dozens of teammates who played with her over the years. At the time of her diagnosis of ovarian cancer at age 68, she was still running 5k races in her community. This incredibly disciplined woman is deeply missed by her family and friends.
