Name of woman being honored by the square.
Donna Nawrocki

Description of square.
“Celebrate Life”

The flower illustrates the joy of growing crops and garden as my husband and I farmed for 47 years. The music indicates the joy and love of music as my family and I discovered our God-given talents. The rainbow signifies the “promise of God.” The “happy faces” signify family and friends who support me.

What would you like to tell us about the woman being honored?
I am a 70 year old widow who has survived OVCA for 2 years. I live on a farm by Sherburne, Minnesota, which has been my home all my life. I enjoy volunteer work at the Senior Center, the Fairmont Hospital and my church. I was diagnosed with Stage III OVCA in July 2000, had six rounds of chemo using Taxol and Carboplatin.

I am no stranger to cancer. My husband had prostate cancer in 1991, colon cancer in 1993 and died of esophageal cancer in 1998.

I enjoy my family and friends, two daughters, three grandchildren and one great-grandson. I like to play bridge and “500” and travel. I am grateful for each day I can spend without re-occurrence.
