Name of woman being honored by the square.
Joan Wood

Description of square.
Dove for the Dove who became a pet the summer I was going through chemo.

Cross for my love of God.

Flowers on the cross for my love of flowers and my garden.

The Words: Faith – for my faith in God, my doctor and nurses while going through chemo.

Prayer – for all the prayers said for me.

What would you like to tell us about the woman being honored?
Love – for all the love I felt from my family.

Peace – I found in the garden.

We had a dove in our neighborhood who lost its mate the year before I was in chemo. While in chemo, when I would go work in the garden this wild dove would fly down and “coo” at me while I worked. Towards the end of the summer he would come on my shoulder, and even on my finger. We called him the “Lovesome Dove.” Since that summer he has never been friendly again. He now has found a new mate and this year we have six doves on our power wires every day. I will always believe God sent me the dove that summer. I always felt so peaceful when he was with me.
