MOCA’s mission is to create and promote resources for support, networking and education for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their families. However, sometimes there are other organizations that provide an excellent resource and we do not want to recreate the wheel. Below are support groups held at other organizations.

BRCA Women’s Support and Information Group
HealthEast support group for women with a known mutation on the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene. To be added to the mailing list or to learn about upcoming meeting dates, email amleininger@healtheast.org.

Cancer Recovery Foundation Tele-Support Groups for cancer survivors or cancer caregivers. These toll-free telephone support groups occur once-a-week and are moderated by Rev. Michael Gingerich, Director of Program Services for Cancer Recovery Foundation. Cancer Recovery Foundation takes an integrated mind-body-spirit approach to cancer recovery. Support Connection: Free Telephone Support Group for Women Living with Ovarian Cancer
Facilitated by a survivor, this support group is provides an opportunity for women with a common diagnosis to share their concerns and support one another. Participants are from across the country. Takes place on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Central Standard Time. To participate, call Support Connection in advance at 1-(800) 532-4290 to register and receive instructions on how to participate. More information at www.supportconnection.org.
